Sorry I haven't been blogging just lately, my camera battery decided to die and am waiting for another from ebay. Meanwhile I have also had lots of other stuff going on. My daughter let me use her camera to upload a pic of another card I made for my Dad. He has just had his operation, and I must admit, when I walked into ICU yesterday and saw the huge cut on his chest and the tubes and machines, I cried. But very quickly and bravely dried them for Dad's sake. It just looked so awful.
Anyways, this card has a lovely sentiment that unfortunately is not a Stampin' Up! stamp, but one I have had for a long time and I feel would encourage Dad to hang on to God as his means of Strength. Isaiah 40V29-31
When this scripture talks about giving strength to the weary, I felt this image did exactly that, it took a dull looking image (which looks weary) and puts a spotlight on it, giving life, colour and strength. Much like God does when we call on him.
This spotlight technique can be found on Splitcoast Stampers and is a really simple technique anyone can try just using your Stampin' Up! stamp pads and an aqua brush.
I have used the "In colours" for this card, and the "Oh So Lovely" Level 1, Hostess Rewards stamp set, but if there is anything else you are not sure how I did, just email me, no question is silly, thats how we learn.
Blessings,
Tracy xx

My First Class....are you coming?
My first class has got to be Special... so here is what we will be doing.
Boxes, Bags and Tags.... everything Christmas of course!
When we make a special home made gift like fudge, cookies, gingerbread etc.(oooh I've got my mouth watering), well isn't it lovely to present it in a very special way? These cute little boxes are just the thing you need. Place your goodies in a celophane bag (which I will give you) and pop them into these boxes for a Gorgeous looking homemade gift. We will make 2 of these. You can see a picture of these if you scroll down under "Tis the Season".
Then we are going to make 4 Bag-a-lopes, which are the simplest quickest thing to make when you need a special little gift bag in a hurry. I am absolutely crazy about this idea, I had never done this before I discovered how to the other day, and I am in love with the whole idea, and you will love them too ...... it's just so quick and easy, yet looks Fabulous. Get this.... they are made from Envelopes! Yes, you read that correctly, turn your everyday envelopes into little gift bags, any size, big and small, any colour, in a matter of just minutes!! Decorated, stamped, and ribbon added, they look Amazing.
Then of course we have to make Christmas tags to go with all of these.
So please let me know if you would like to join us.
Wednesday 26th November, 1.30pm, $15 all materials supplied (except the fudge) Maximum 7 people to a class, and only 3 spots left, so email me quick to book your spot. Or if you have any questions.
Hope you can come... its gonna be a hoot!

My First Launch
Hey Girls,
Last Saturday was my First Launch (my coming out party) and really had a great time, I hope you all did too? Above and below is one of the tables that were set up displaying some of my work, the little gift that everyone got to take home, and the door prize.
I didn't have time on the day, but I should have taken photos of the girls busily creating their lovely make and takes.
This card was inspired by a card given to me by my lovely upline and Mum in Stampin' Up! ..... Melissa :-) Please click on her name for a link to her Amazing blog.... but Please DO come back! lol.
............................................................................................
It is a lovely card, very simple and quick to make using the "Lovely as a Tree" Set. I naturally just had to add my usually bling to this, and some sponging, as snow HAS TO Twinkle! I think I will make this my Christmas card this year as you really can whip up a whole bunch in no time, and looks soooooo pretty.
Sorry about the quality of the photo, (hope you can see it ok?) my camera decided to die, so I had to just crop and enlarge the above photo. When it's working I will upload a better pic.
Jocelyn Griffiths won the beautiful door prize, which was a set called "All I have Seen" and contained some extra goodies to make some calendars, etc. Sorry to all of you who really wanted to win this too :-(
A special thank you to Melissa, who was such a Fantastic help on the day, who without even being asked was making tea and coffee, (or champagne) for guests as they arrived, demo'd things for me, displayed some of her gorgeous work, answered questions I didn't know the answer to, and just was my other right hand. Thank you so much Princess!
It looked to me to be a great day had by all, well I hope?

Praying for you Dad xx
This is a card I made for my Dear old Dad who is going to have to go in for Open Heart surgery in a few weeks.
He is no spring chicken any more, and needless to say, a wee bit nervous about the whole thing. But I know he believes in the power of prayer and has great faith in God, so I thought the sentiment I have used on this card would be a reminder to him of God's Unfailing Love and Promise to be with him, strengthen him and help him through this.

Tis the Season!
Just making Christmas cards is getting me right into the spirit of the Season, it is sneaking up so quickly, only 7 weeks to go! I think there is nothing nicer than receiving a handmade Christmas card from someone…. you know that person put extra special time and care into it …. JUST FOR YOU!
I created this one last week, it’s a very quick simple card, again using the Season of Joy set. I love the simplicity of Gold and White at Christmas, but didn’t have any Gold cardstock, so…… I used Saraha Sand and white cardstock. Next I used the River Rock Stampin’ pad on the background for the swirls, small flowers, and the three snowflakes (this colour almost passes off as Gold). Then, because I didn’t have a SU gold embossing pad, I stamped the main image into the versamark first and then into the River rock and embossed with Gold… worked great!
Always luurv to finish with bling, so with the 2 way glue pen, I applied dazzling diamonds to the background, added the Crystal Effects to the dots around the snowflakes and placed gold brads in the middle of each of them. Hope you can see this.
Also made the little boxes in similar colours, great for making a small gift look that little more special.
I hope you like?
